Tyke
AvailableThis loving Rhodesian Ridgeback/Mountain Cur mix is a young male of medium size who is currently in the care of Bonaparte's Retreat. He is neutered and house trained, and has healed beautifully from a past injury. Tyke gets along very well with children, cats, and other dogs, making him a wonderful companion for all types of families.
About Tyke
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Tyke arrived at Bonaparte's facing a serious challenge—he had suffered a traumatic injury to his hind leg after being shot, which required amputation due to a fractured bone and embedded bullet fragments. Despite such hardship, Tyke healed remarkably well and has blossomed into a loving, gentle giant. He embodies kindness, showing excellent manners with cats, little dogs, kids, and every person he meets. While he does occasionally have an accident when left alone due to some separation anxiety (with a particular fondness for paper towels!), his foster family is working on this, and he is otherwise reliably house trained. With just a little consideration, Tyke is sure to be the perfect fit for a caring family ready for unconditional love. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
