About Sparta
Sparta survived a rough start—she was found wedged between a garage and brickwork and, given her condition, everyone feared the worst. Thankfully, she pulled through and surprised her rescuers with her resilience. Sparta's hind legs didn’t develop typically, likely from an old injury or infection as a kitten, but she doesn’t let that stop her. She has a distinctive walk, slides a bit on smooth floors, and is trained to use puppy pads rather than a litter box due to her mobility issues. Because she can’t move as quickly as other cats, Sparta is most comfortable around fellow cats who respect her space and don’t try to engage her in play. She won’t be happy in a home with dogs or young children, as quick movements scare her and she can’t get away fast enough. She also has a heart murmur, so she’ll need a calm home that appreciates her special needs. Sparta is affectionate, loves to cuddle, and will choose your lap—or your favorite chair—for her naps. She’s talkative and purrs readily when happy. You’ll get a fully vetted, highly socialized feline, with spay, vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, microchip, FIV/FeLV testing, and a wellness check included. The rescue also offers a 2-week getting acquainted period and wellness guarantee to help you both adjust. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
