Hi! My name is Tycoon…but sometimes my foster human calls me Tyc, Ty, T, Tytoon, Tytoon Baby and Ding-Dong. I love all my names and always come running! I had a rough start to life and was left behind in a house by my people. Humans don’t know how long I was there but they said it had to have been a while because I was very underweight and small for my age. I got healthy in no time and have learned a lot of manners. I don’t ever have accidents in the house or in my kennel. I am a star in my training classes! I know to walk right next to my foster human, I can sit and lay down and stay there until the human tells me to move or get up. I also know wait and leave it. I will even go to my kennel on command. Sometimes that is from the words “kennel up” but I usually know to kennel when my foster human turns on “Bluey”. She always lets me watch that while she is gone. I have an amazing personality! I LOVE toys (especially when I steal the tiny ones from my foster brother) and will run about the house with them all on my own if no one will play with me. I make the funniest facial expressions and they are always guaranteed to make my foster human laugh. She said they are the best. I love snuggling that human in her big bed. She said I get to sleep with her because I do so good and snore soundly through the whole night. I love my humans fiercely. But something happened in my little brain (humans’ words not mine) when I was left behind and it made me really nervous in some situations. If you meet me for the first time, I am sad to say I don’t act like what was written above. I kind of seem scary…but it’s because you seem scary to me. I try my best but I am going to need to meet you a few times before I trust you. Even then, it’s hard to remember we were friends when you leave the room and come back. Sometimes I forget I know you and we have to start all over. I love my foster dog brothers but need slow introductions with other dogs. I don’t mind most of them but there are a few out there that I just don’t think I can trust. When I meet you, sudden movements can trigger me. Because of that I really need my humans to not be the tiny kind. I don’t hate cats but I do like to chase and chew on them. My foster human is helping me be softer with them. I do well at the vet…I just get really nervous and sometimes pee on the floor. They tell me it’s okay and it happens all the time. I don’t mind being in my kennel when you have company over if that makes it easier for you. I don’t think I am a “go for walks in the park” kind of dog but I would love a backyard of my own to wrestle in with some dog friends. Going to classes really helps me stay as socialized as I can. I know I won’t be the easiest dog you bring into your life but I PROMISE I will bring you more joy than you will ever know. My foster human tells me I fill the holes in her home she didn’t know she had. That makes me feel pretty honored. I love being loved by her but she reminds me that she is just my step to forever and my lifelong family is out there still. Tycoon is 1 years old and about 50 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. Must be 21 y/o to apply.
