About Pru
Pru is a one-of-a-kind young dog with a lot of love to give and a spirit that refuses to quit. She’s a little over a year old, naturally upbeat, lively, and loves to be near people. Crate trained and making progress on potty habits, Pru still has the occasional accident indoors due to circumstances out of her control. She’s working hard with a regular schedule to see if this can improve. What stands out most about Pru is her resilience. She lost use of her back legs after a spinal injury before rescue, but doesn’t slow down—she’s mastered her mobility, especially with her new wheels, and will dash around wherever she can. Pru gets along with dogs of all sizes, seems comfortable with cats, and is a gem with children. She travels well by car and is settling into leash walks. While new situations can make her a little nervous, she’s quick to ask for cuddles and seeks out affection whenever she can. Whoever brings Pru home will need to be prepared for her ongoing potty training and make the space as accessible as possible, ideally with few or no steps (though it's not a strict requirement). Her future is bright, and she’s ready to write the next chapter with someone who understands her needs. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
