About Big Daddy
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Big Daddy! He is a neutered, 4 1/2-year-old large lab mix who was rescued after experiencing some tough times—he was infamously seen around town with a clear plastic animal cracker bucket stuck on his head. Thanks to the determined efforts of local animal control and a dedicated rescue, he was finally freed and given a chance to thrive. Initially shy and unfamiliar with kindness, Big Daddy was gently introduced to the good life by loving volunteers who read to him, offered treats, and patiently encouraged him every day. In less than a month, this gentle soul blossomed into a different dog entirely. Now, Big Daddy is all about living life to the fullest! He adores people and gets along very well with other dogs. While he can be a bit too playful for smaller children, he would do wonderfully in a home with older kids or no children at all, especially if there are other doggy playmates. Big Daddy’s huge heart matches his lively spirit—he’s full of playful curiosity, always eager for new adventures, and loves nothing more than making his people laugh. Smart and affectionate, he’s always ready to learn new tricks or enjoy a cozy cuddle session. He’s the ideal combination of fun and warmth, and he’s waiting to bring heaps of love and loyalty to the right family. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
