Jasmine is a striking little brindle girl with a lot of heart packed into her small frame. At about 9 months old and 24 pounds, she’ll likely hit 30 pounds fully grown. Jasmine is playful and gentle, always up for a cuddling session, especially after a good play with her foster siblings. Though she came from a rough start, found abandoned and undersocialized, she’s steadily gaining confidence and learning from the other dogs in her foster home. She’s pretty shy at first—especially if approached over the head—and prefers gentle chin pets to swooping hands. Treats are a great way to win her over. Jasmine gravitates to people she trusts and does best when her humans are around. She can get anxious when left alone and will speak up if she wants out of her crate, so she’s not suited to apartments with shared walls. House and crate training are coming along nicely, and she’s already reliable about going outside. She does well with other friendly dogs and likes to try to engage them in play, sometimes a bit too enthusiastically. She’s shown she can get along with cats and children, though she’d likely thrive with older kids given her sensitivity.
