About Miss Bean
Miss Bean had a rough start on the streets of south Brooklyn—she was sick, scared, and painfully thin when she was first found. Earning her trust took patience, but that time has paid off: she’s come a long way and is now ready for her permanent family. Miss Bean is naturally shy, so she needs an adopter willing to move at her pace and earn her affection. Once she’s comfortable, she lifts her bum happily for butt scratches and gazes up at you, fully soaking in the attention. She’s a quiet, undemanding presence in the home. Miss Bean gets along well with other cats and would especially enjoy feline companionship. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy aside from being FIV positive. This just means she should live indoors and see the vet regularly—nothing out of the ordinary for a cared-for house cat. Because of her FIV status and her full dental work, the risk to other cats is nearly zero. Miss Bean is looking for someone who sees the gentle soul beneath her shy exterior. Domestic short hair cats like Miss Bean do best in stable indoor environments where they feel safe. Apartments or houses with quiet spaces suit her especially well given her shy personality.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Miss Bean is best kept as an indoor cat, especially due to her FIV status. She doesn’t require outdoor space and will thrive inside with plenty of cozy spots and enrichment.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic short hair cats are generally adaptable, but given Miss Bean’s shyness, she’ll do best in a home without boisterous young children or where people are patient with her needs.
