About Phoebe
Phoebe is a 3-year-old Doberman/Rottweiler mix who narrowly escaped a kill shelter, thanks to the folks at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. She has a balanced energy—loves a walk or a good play session, but won’t turn down a nap on a quiet afternoon. Other dogs are right up her alley and she genuinely enjoys canine company, often up for a romp or just hanging out. People, though, she approaches with caution. Phoebe stays on the sidelines at first, sizing you up and waiting for trust to develop. Once it does, she shifts from reserved to loyal in a way only a dog with her history can. She’ll need a family who won’t rush her, who understands that patience is not optional in her case. With time, Phoebe becomes a calm, affectionate companion who pays back patience with true devotion.
