About Lotus
Lotus is one of 29 dogs pulled from a dire situation in North Alabama, where the group had been left suddenly without care when their former owner became hospitalized. The Big Dog Ranch team worked for hours to safely catch each dog—many of them frightened but never showing aggression—just overwhelmed and unsure. Now Lotus is settling in, learning what a gentle touch and kind words feel like for the first time in his life. He's receiving medical care and nutritious food, with staff patiently showing him the world isn't such a scary place. Lotus is taking in the basics, including leash walking, and every day he gets a little more comfortable. Despite a rough start, his sweet side stands out, and you can sense he wants to trust. Ready for the life he deserves, Lotus is looking for someone who sees the beauty in second chances. Give this patient, affectionate boy a reason to believe. Start your journey together! Apply now.
