About Kobo
Kobo is a 6-year-old mixed-breed dog whose story almost ended too soon. When he first arrived in Miami-Dade, he was shut down, scared, and overwhelmed. Facing the euthanasia list, he got a second shot at life after being rescued and brought to BDR. The medical team discovered Kobo has a heart murmur, but no cardiac disease—so there’s nothing holding him back from enjoying life right now. Kobo’s cautious around new people and can be nervous at first. Sometimes he tries to put on a tough act to mask his uncertainty, but that’s just nerves talking. Given a gradual introduction and patience, his playful, loving side comes out in full force. He’s a goofy dog bursting with puppy energy, always ready to play, give big hugs, and roll around with his favorite people. Affection is his language—he’ll greet trusted friends with full-body cuddles and happy bunny hops. Kobo will do best in a home with adults or older kids who are comfortable with a dog that needs time and gentle encouragement to feel safe. He gets along with other dogs but isn’t suited for homes with young children. With trust, Kobo is eager to share his abundant love and loyalty. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
