Leo
AvailableLeo is a young, male Great Pyrenees with a striking white and cream, medium-length coat. At just over a year old, he still has puppy energy and curiosity. Leo is house trained, vaccinated, and will need to be neutered when he reaches maturity. He’s located in Larkspur, CO, and is looking for an adopter well-versed in the needs of a large, independent breed.
About Leo
Leo is a five-month-old Great Pyrenees who came from tough beginnings and has grown into a confident, affectionate pup with his foster family. He relishes romping with dogs in the yard and soaks up human attention. While he’s treat-motivated and quick to learn, Leo’s independent streak means he needs an adopter willing to be consistent and patient—he’ll test the rules at first but becomes very cooperative once he knows you mean business. Leo gets along well with other dogs, cats, and even small caged animals; he’s playful and mostly submissive with his foster siblings. A bit nervous near noisy highways, he’s making steady progress on walks and pays little mind to loud noises like thunder. Everything about Leo points to a classic ‘gentle giant in the making’—but he’ll need someone with experience raising large breeds and a commitment to ongoing socialization, training, and structure. Leo is house trained and his vaccinations are current. His adopter must commit to neutering him once he is grown, and be prepared for the time, effort, and investment needed for a puppy of his size and temperament. Leo is in Larkspur, CO.
