During his intake our dedicated vets made an important discovery Draco has a Grade 4 heart murmur. Following an echocardiogram, a heart specialist confirmed that this brave boy needed a Balloon Valvuloplasty Procedure to ensure his heart works properly and he can live his best life. He has healed wonderfully from his procedure and looking forward to a long wonderful life! Draco needs to take it easy and make sure he doesn't overwork his heart but we've found that a nice easy stroll to explore or gentle play time matched with mental stimulation and training tire him out just as much as physical activity, making him the perfect student. He's already showing off by mastering his basic commands, demonstrating amazing focus, and proving just how eager he is to learn with his high treat motivation! Despite the curveball life has thrown him, Draco is bursting with love, hope, and an incredibly resilient spirit.
