About Layla
Click apply to start the adoption process. Layla is a two-year-old sweetheart being fostered in Mississippi and is ready to find her forever home! She is a playful, loving, medium-sized husky with a beautiful white, cream, and black coat. Acting like a puppy, Layla is absolutely energetic and loves to play with toys of all kinds—she’ll happily chase a ball, stuffy, or squeaky toy and is working on perfecting her fetch skills. Layla gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children, making her a great option for a family looking for a happy and interactive companion. She’s affectionate, gentle, and crate trained, and she walks well on a leash, making her an excellent running buddy. True to her husky nature, Layla does have a strong prey drive—she needs a fenced yard as she’s prone to chasing rabbits, squirrels, and anything else that catches her attention, including cats and chickens. Because of this, she’s best placed in a home without cats or small animals. Layla’s adoption fee covers her spay surgery, vet exam, up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, a microchip, and transport from the South. She will be ready to travel to her new family after the adoption is completed. Please note that she cannot be met beforehand as there is no facility in NJ, and she is not adoptable to residents of MA, RI, or NH. As a Libra (born September 30), she is sure to bring harmony and fun to your household—Libras love social situations and making new friends. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
