About Koda
If you’re looking for a steady, soulful companion, Koda is the definition of a loyal friend. He lost his original home when his owner passed away, but he’s settled into foster care without missing a beat. Koda gets along well with other dogs and is calm at home—there’s nothing he wants more than to be close to people. He enjoys short strolls but could use regular walks to trim down from around 100 lbs to his ideal 75 lbs. Despite his size, Koda is gentle and affectionate, happy to soak up any attention you offer. He’s also comfortable around cats and does great with other dogs. With those sable and cream colors and a soft, thick coat, he’s got the classic Akita look. Koda’s just waiting for someone to give him that final sense of belonging he’s missing. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
