About Ziggy
Ziggy is an affectionate, smart dog who soaks up every bit of attention you give him. He's got the temperament people search for: gentle, biddable, quick to learn, and fun-loving. In his foster home, Ziggy thrives with the company of active dogs, seamlessly joining in play or winding down at nap time. He loves walks, puzzle toys, and any enrichment that lets him put his brain to work. His sleek, easy-care coat and compact frame mean he's easy to manage and not your standard bulky Lab. He's house trained and uses a dog door with no issue, quickly adapting to routines and following commands like "off" and "walk." He doesnāt bark without cause but will let you know when thereās a knock at the door. Ziggy enjoys the company of both people and other dogs, and heās happiest with at least one friendly, playful dog around who weighs 40 lbs or more. He's good with kidsāmiddle school age or up fits him bestāand very much enjoys hanging with people of all ages and energy levels at the dog park. The ideal setup for Ziggy is a home in the Phoenix metro area with a private, attached yard and at least one large, playful canine buddy. He will not be placed in a remote situation, as our process requires a Foster-To-Adopt trial and local follow-up. Every animal in our care gets support from our veterinarian if needed.
