About Etta
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Etta is an energetic and loving girl with a special story—she was found running near a busy highway but has quickly proven what a gem she truly is. Despite her rough start, Etta gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and does well with cats under supervision. True to her heeler nature, she can be a bit rowdy, loves to bark when in her herding mode, and thrives when given a job or plenty of exercise. She's a great candidate for an active home and would make an excellent jogging partner. Etta is crate trained, has never soiled her kennel, and is reliable in the house as long as someone pays attention to her needs. Her foster mom describes her as a dream dog when given clear guidance and leadership—just as a typical heeler appreciates! Etta is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm preventative. She did test heartworm positive but is being properly managed and continues to do well. Fun fact: Etta was rescued on St. Patrick’s Day, making her a Pisces! Pisces pups are famously intuitive and adaptable, just like Etta. If you're ready for a loyal, intelligent companion who wants to share an active lifestyle, Etta can't wait to find a forever home that understands her breed needs. Please remember that adopting a pet is a long-term commitment—consider giving Etta the future she deserves! Adoption is the new adventure! Ready to roll?

Questions about Etta
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler and Australian Kelpie mixes thrive in active homes where they have plenty of space to exercise and opportunities for mental stimulation. They do best in homes with access to a yard or rural settings, but can adapt to suburban life if sufficiently exercised.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This breed mix excels with ample outdoor space to run, play, and exercise their herding instincts. A secure yard is ideal, but they can thrive with regular trips to parks or open areas if a yard isn't available.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Australian Cattle Dog mixes are generally good with children, especially when socialized early. Their high energy and herding instincts mean supervision is recommended with young kids to ensure respectful play.
