Birdie is about 4 years old and has already overcome some tough breaks—she came in with a collar deeply embedded in her neck that required surgery. Her neck has healed completely, and she's adjusting to life at the rescue. Birdie leans toward the shy side, but she’s growing more comfortable and confident every day.
