About Nadine
Nadine is a tiny 8-pound chihuahua with a big heart and a strong spirit. After a rough start—she landed in a high-kill shelter after being hit by a car—she got her second chance thanks to a rescue. She’s had major surgery to fix her pelvis and knees and bounced back, now running and sometimes even sprinting around with new confidence. Nadine is a sweetheart who bonds deeply with her humans. She loves snuggles at bedtime and craves real companionship but also knows how to carve out her own independent moments (she can be a little cat-like, doing her own thing, then returning for affection on her terms). She does best as the only animal in a quiet home, where she’ll get to be the center of attention. Nadine gets anxious when left alone too long—she’s still learning that she’ll never be abandoned again—so she needs someone who can offer her plenty of reassurance and stability. At just three years old, she’s already shown how resilient she is, and she’s ready for someone who will cherish her. Nadine is currently in Nowata, OK, and adopters can meet her in person even from out of state. Every animal has their own story; Nadine’s just looking to start the next chapter with you. How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas like Nadine don't require much outdoor space—short walks and a small yard are enough. They mostly enjoy being inside with their person.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Because of her size, Nadine would do best in a home without young children who might handle her too roughly, but respectful older kids can be a good fit.
