About Lily
Lily is a gentle, somewhat shy Belgian Malinois with a sweet, reserved spirit. At about two years old and tipping the scales between 50 and 55 lbs, she’s still coming out of her shell, and all she needs is the right person who can let her set the pace. Volunteers have been patient with Lily, working with her as she slowly gets more comfortable. She’s not outgoing at first, but once she warms up, it’s easy to see her loving side just beneath the surface. Lily does especially well with other dogs—she genuinely thrives in canine company. If you already have a dog, or you’re open to a pair, her playfulness will fit right in. She came to the rescue as a stray, likely alongside her mom and siblings, so she’s had a lot of dog social time. A calm, consistent household, free from pressure, will bring out Lily’s best qualities. The team caring for Lily ensures dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations before adoption.
