About Hazel
Hazel is a 7-year-old husky and pit bull terrier mix with plenty of life left in her. She’s dog and kid friendly—a sweet but sassy ball of energy who loves to play hard and share a good run in the yard. Zoomies make her day, and she never met a stuffed toy she didn’t want to unstuff. Hazel has a rough-and-tumble play style, but she’s smart about keeping the peace and will take cues from the rest of the house, happily crashing on the couch when it’s time to wind down. For Hazel, another submissive dog in the home suits her best, as she’s got a dominant streak and needs canine friends who respect her boundaries. She does well with other dogs when introduced properly. House and kennel trained, she walks on leash fairly well—though she sometimes pulls—and bonds closely with her people. With men, she’s initially cautious but warms up after a short time. One thing to know: Hazel is a bit of a climber and can clear a fence, so a secure, six-foot fence is non-negotiable for her safety. If you’re looking for a companion with personality and plenty of love to give, Hazel is ready for the right home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
