About Buddy
Buddy lives up to his name in every way: endlessly loyal, loving, and ready to be someone's constant sidekick. He wants nothing more than to stay close—whether that means tagging along at your heel around the house or curling up next to you at night. This young Chihuahua/Wirehaired Terrier mix is easy to love. His foster calls him a "Friday dog," a quirky mix that's impossible to duplicate and full of personality. Simple pleasures delight Buddy: a squirrel in the yard will have him off and running, but by evening, he’s dozing beside you like you’re the only person in the world. Fully house-trained and comfortable with a doggy door, he takes his yard patrol duties seriously and bustles in and out all day. New experiences can make him anxious; car rides aren't his favorite, but once settled, he's happy to join an adventure. He's still building confidence on leash and sticks close when out on walks, especially with a gentle leader. Buddy’s happiest with canine company and would enjoy another playful, friendly dog at home, though he could also thrive as your one and only if you're around often. Patience, routine, and plenty of affection bring out the best in him. If you’re hoping for a dog who bonds deeply and will stick by your side through everything, Buddy could be the one.
