About Patrick
Patrick came into rescue with a group of 27 cats who lost their home after their previous owner passed away. Patrick, a sleek tuxedo, stands out as the confidence-booster among the first group ready for new homes. He quickly warms up to gentle attention, arching his back for pets and purring loudly, happy to accept kindness again. Despite his rough start, Patrick has kept his faith in people and finds comfort in feline company, thriving with other cats around him. These cats are using their litter boxes and scratching posts in foster care and would do best in quiet homes, ideally with another friendly cat already present or adopted in a pair with a sibling. Patrick needs patience and a soft-spoken adopter committed to helping him continue his journey back to trust and comfort. Watching a shy cat like Patrick learn to trust is deeply rewarding, and heās ready for someone willing to move at his pace. All adoptions will be finalized at the rescue's Malvern, PA officeāadopters from outside the area should be ready to travel. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Patrick
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic shorthair cats like Patrick do best in homes where they can find safe, quiet spots to relax and observe their world. They appreciate environments where they arenāt overwhelmed by loud noises or too much activity, especially if theyāre recovering from a stressful past.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Patrick, as a domestic shorthair, does not require outdoor access to thrive. He will do well in an indoor environment with vertical spaces and enrichment areas for exploration and play.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic shorthairs are adaptable, but given Patrick's need for a quiet and patient environment, homes with calmer, older children may be a better match for him.
