About Lotus
Lotus found her first bit of luck during a South Dakota winter, traveling in the engine of a car until a nearby family heard her cries and helped get her out safely. Since then, she’s been soaking up love and comfort in foster care, turning into a genuinely sweet, playful, and affectionate cat. Lotus thrives when people and other cats are around. She often chases wand toys and laser pointers or studies birds through a window. Once she’s worn out, she prefers curling up next to her people rather than being carried—she’s affectionate on her own terms and appreciates gentle respect for her boundaries. Lotus does well with children of all ages, particularly those who let her take the lead with affection. She’d love a forever family willing to shower her with attention and maybe even welcome one of her siblings or foster friends too; young cats like Lotus benefit from the company of another feline buddy. She’s come through a rough start with a gentle, playful spirit and is ready for a home that will let her blossom. Lotus was born September 24th, which makes her a Libra—known for craving harmony. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
