Jethro is one of those dogs who doesn’t rush into relationships — but once he knows you’re his person, he’s all in. At 10 years old, he’s got the soul of a wise old gentleman and the heart of a pup who still gets excited for playtime (especially if it involves stuffed animals — seriously, he lives for them). He’s housebroken, knows his way around a home, and is happiest just being near his people. He’s a little on the fluffy side, but he enjoys slow walks and would benefit from someone to help him stay active — at his own relaxed pace, of course. Jethro does have some hearing loss and can be a little moody now and then, but that just makes him more endearing. He takes a bit of time to warm up to new people, but with patience and kindness, he’ll become your loyal little shadow. He gets along well with other dogs, is fine with cats, and would do best in a quiet home — ideally with a retired person or couple looking for a calm, steady companion. Jethro is ready for a soft spot to land, a warm bed, a few stuffed toys, and someone who appreciates the charm of a senior dog who still has so much love to give.
