Hi, my name is Waylon James. I am a distinguished Smooth Fox Terrier mix with a goofy side. I am around 4 years old and spent most of my life with one family. Unfortunately, their life circumstances changed and they had to move on without me. At first, I was scared, but once I found the right foster home, I felt comfortable enough to be myself again. I have a lot of energy and love running zoomies in the yard, jumping obstacle courses and fetching. But so far, my favorite thing to do is to chase the remote-control car and see who can move faster! Because I am a kid at heart, I don’t do very well around other young kids because I forget I am not one of them and get too excited. However, I also have a calm, cuddly side that loves nothing more than to snuggle next to my foster mom in the couch, be picked up in her arms like a baby, or just retreat into my crate when I want to take a midday nap with my chewy toys. I am a bit shy when I first meet a new person, but play with me for a couple of hours and I will be your best friend. I am still working on walking a straight path on the leash, but I’m already doing so much better!
