Mindy
AvailableMindy is a medium-sized, red and chestnut mixed breed Doberman Pinscher and Siberian Husky located in Huntington Beach, CA. She has a medium-length coat, is spayed, vaccinated, and house trained. Mindy gets along well with both dogs and cats, but does best in a calm, stable environment.
About Mindy
Mindy spent seven months in a local shelter, where she started off engaging warmly with volunteers but soon became withdrawn and fearful, especially around loud noises. By the end of her shelter stay, noises during walks would leave her frozen with fear. Since moving into foster care, Mindy is showing progress but still startles easily at sudden sounds. She lives with a resident dog and cat; while she usually gets along with them, some interactions can be tense. Based on her reactions, Mindy would do best in a quiet home—without small children or other dogs—where she can continue to recover from a tough start. She needs an adopter who can offer patience, understanding, and time for her gentle, affectionate side to re-emerge. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
