About Bravo & Bonita
Bravo & Bonita, a brother and sister pair, were rescued from the beaches of Aguada, Puerto Rico after surviving on scraps and camper handouts. They’re now safe in Maricao, living outdoors on a large property—but what they need most is an adopter with patience, compassion, and a secure fenced yard. Both are gentle and wary, shaped by early hardship. Bonita approaches for pets and flashes careful smiles while Bravo keeps more distance, sometimes offering a quick lick to say thanks. Neither have indoor experience or basic training, so a home with someone comfortable with shy, unsocialized dogs is key. Leashes, collars, and close handling are still challenging. Bonita and Bravo stick together through it all; they relax with other dogs, watch the property at night, and steer clear of people unless offered treats and kind words. Bravo’s got a bit of the hunter in him—iguanas beware—and both alert at strange sounds but aren’t nuisance barkers. They thrive outdoors with shelter, food, water, and freedom to roam. Their ideal adopter understands their trauma and will give them time to settle. Both short-haired, low-maintenance, and unlikely to roughhouse, they’ll keep a watchful, sweet presence in the yard as a bonded team. Let’s help them find their next chapter together. Your new best friend is just one click away.
