This lovely lady is Luz and she is completely blind. She was found abandoned on the side of the road all by herself. She had a laceration on her neck from being attacked by other dogs and was in poor health. Luz loves to play, give hugs, kisses, and can find herself around with her sense of smell. She currently lives in the special need section of our facility with the seniors and gets along great with them. Luz would need someone that will be able to help her get around and be comfortable with herself. She does get scared and barks as a defense mechanism here at the shelter. She hears the other dogs barking and is unsure if she will be attacked or not. Luz would do best in a quiet area to adjust to her surroundings and would do better as the only dog until she settled in.
