Lassie came into the shelter with her sister Sloan April 19th, 2024, picked up running loose outside of the city limits of Alpine. When her and her sister came in, they were leery of people but, who could blame them, they seemed to have been through a lot prior to coming into our care. Lassie's sister Sloan was adopted May 2025, which was great but, Lassie has remained. Lassie is fantastic with other playful dogs and actually prefers the company of another dog so, if you already have a dog, she will be happy to meet them. Lassie can still be a little shy with new people but loves the attention once she gets it and is a pro on a leash, she has also gotten a routine down so she is potty trained for the most part, she will wait to go to the yard to do her business. She's a talker! One of our staff members said that is their favorite characteristic of her! She does need some training, but she can learn!
