Sonny
AvailableSonny is a young American Bulldog with a striking black and white short coat and distinctive black nose with a touch of pink. He’s a large, strong, neutered male and is fully house trained. Sonny is also up to date on his vaccinations. Currently, he is located in Midway City, CA and is looking for an adopter who appreciates his energy, loyalty, and good nature.
About Sonny
Sonny was picked up near a bustling street not far from a homeless encampment—he didn’t have an owner in sight, just a whole lot of dirt and a look that said he was overdue for some kindness. When a good samaritan scooped him up, she brought him to AALOC for a fresh start. After a bath, his real self emerged: bold black and white fur, dark button eyes, and a little pink on his nose. Sonny is a young American Bulldog mix, solidly built at about 70 pounds, with a short, easy-care coat. He has a strong, athletic frame and brings a lot of presence into the room. Sonny leans into people for affection and attention. He thrives on being engaged and responds well to positive energy, but he’ll need basic training and an active routine to channel that strength and keep things balanced. Sonny should be an only pet for now. He’s not a match for cats or dogs, and he’ll do best as the main attraction in a pet-free home. The rescue is looking for an adopter ready to invest time in his ongoing training. Children should be 10 or up, although they may make exceptions in some cases. Sonny was born on April 21, 2021, which makes him a down-to-earth Taurus—stubbornly loyal and happiest with routine. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
