About Buddy
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Buddy, a truly handsome fellow whose past hasn't dimmed his spirit. Though he was left behind, Buddy continues to love deeply and craves companionship. You'll find him extremely playful and clever, with favorite pastimes that include anything involving toys—especially his cherished KONG stuffed with peanut butter and squeaky toys. Whether it's relaxing in front of the TV, lounging by the pool, or curling up by your side, Buddy thrives on affection and leans in for every snuggle. He's friendly with other dogs and, while curious about cats, doesn't bother the household feline. Buddy is estimated at 1-2 years old, fully up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Fresh from completing heartworm treatment, he made quite a positive impression at the vet's office. Buddy is still learning to trust, needing gentle encouragement when it comes to car rides, a leftover fear from his experience of being abandoned. He's crate trained and making progress with housetraining—he occasionally marks when another male dog's scent is present but is otherwise eager to learn. Equally content as a solo dog or with canine buddies, Buddy can keep up with the most playful pups but also enjoys quiet moments as a true couch potato. His ideal home could be with a retired couple or an active family. Buddy has all the gentle charm and sweetness you could want in a beloved companion, ready to begin the next joyful chapter of his life—with you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
