About Buddy

Buddy has a knack for winning people over. Dumped by a previous owner, he hasn’t let that history define him. He’s affectionate and playful—loves chewing on his KONG with peanut butter or squeaking his favorite toy. Buddy is just as happy sprawled on the couch watching TV as he is keeping an eye on the pool or playing in the yard. He gets along well with other dogs and shows curiosity about the resident cat but doesn’t cause any trouble. He’s about 1-2 years old and fully vaccinated, recently finished heartworm treatment, neutered, and microchipped. Buddy was a hit at the vet’s office—everyone loved him. He’s a little hesitant to get into cars, likely a fear leftover from his earlier experiences, but this should improve with time and patience. Crate trained and working on house training, he still marks if there’s a male dog scent around, so continued guidance will help. He’s happy as an only dog but could join a multi-pet home too. He’d thrive with either an active or retired family—he can lounge as easily as he can play. Buddy is gentle, loving, and has all the makings of a loyal companion who’s ready for his forever home.
