About Surprise
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Yes, that’s actually her name—Surprise isn’t hiding in a cake, but she’s full of charm and a little delightful awkwardness. At about 48 pounds, this fabulous, medium-energy Shepherd mix recently lost her home but definitely hasn’t lost her sparkle. With the loving support of a dedicated team (both canine and human), she’s adjusting day by day, even if she’d prefer a peaceful setting over the chaos of group living. If you can relate to feeling a little anxious around noisy neighbors, she’s the perfect companion for quiet walks and cozy naps, following a balanced routine of outdoor adventures and well-earned rest. Surprise is not a fan of children and dreams of a tranquil, adults-only home where evenings are filled with calm company and maybe a few treats “accidentally” dropped on the floor. Once you gain her trust, she’s wonderfully loyal and affectionate (and might just offer her opinions on your choice of shows—but always with love). If your couch and your heart have room for one more, and you value a gentle, trustworthy friend, Surprise is waiting to bring light and laughter into your life. To learn more about the caring work of the Animal League of Green Valley, feel free to reach out to their friendly team between 10 am and 2 pm any day of the week. What are you waiting for?
