About Smitty
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? When Smitty's loving owner became unable to care for him and his feline companion Toby, she made sure they would find safety and kindness at The Animal League of Green Valley. Though leaving his home was bittersweet, Smitty is thriving with plenty of love and attention. Smitty is a laid-back and sweet tabby with a short, soft coat—his favorite pastimes are rubbing lovingly against your legs, soaking up head scratches, and lounging lazily in any spot he finds. Whether it's stretching out on his cat bed or seeking a treat, he knows how to make life cozy. He has shown a friendly nature toward other cats, dogs, turtles, and birds, making him a peaceful addition to a multi-pet household. Currently, Smitty is managing diabetes and is in a dedicated foster home receiving his special care, but he's still ready to shower affection on a new family. As a special note: The Animal League of Green Valley places a high value on the well-being of its cats, so declawing is not permitted—they are happy to teach you all about gentle nail trimming instead. Fun fact: With an August 12th birthday, Smitty is a spirited Leo—a sun sign known for love, warmth, and a big heart! Let's make it official, apply to adopt!
