Found wandering and injured many months ago, Cowboy Caviar was initially very frightened, but has now settled into shelter life much better. He has a bit of Chow Chow in his looks, though we don’t know much at all about his heritage or background. What we do know is that he has learned to walk well on a leash and harness, he likes chasing after toys you throw, and he seems to love cuddles. He could really use someone to take him home and then take the time to get to know him, because here at the shelter it’s hard to get past the initial wariness that comes when you’re a sensitive sort who’s been let down by people in the past. Once you get him outside the kennel and give him a little love and sweet talk, he becomes a different dog—a friendly guy who is desperate for love and direction.
