About Lilac
Lilac and her brother Levi spent months fending for themselves outside an apartment complex after being abandoned. A caring neighbor stepped in to make sure they had food, but no one ever claimed them. When winter made outdoor life too dangerous, Animal House Rescue got involved and provided a safe place indoors; first, the two acclimated to garage life, then moved into a foster home. Lilac is still learning that indoor humans can be safe, and her adjustment has come in careful steps. She’s shy with new people and will let you know when she needs her space. Lilac uses the litter box reliably and is starting to explore her surroundings with less fear. She currently lives in an adult-only foster home, so her comfort with children is not known. She must be adopted alongside Levi—these siblings have weathered the worst together and need a quiet, understanding adopter to continue helping them open up. Lilac has already made big progress, but she’s still most comfortable with slow introductions. Her vetting is up to date except for a rabies vaccine, and she is negative for major feline diseases. Lilac is spayed and ready for the next chapter, but will need ongoing patience as she continues to blossom. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
