About Doozer

Doozer is around 9 years old and, according to a doggie DNA test, primarily rat/Jack Russell terrier. We named him after the Doozer characters in “Fraggle Rock.” He weighs in at around 20 pounds, is microchipped, is crate trained, and neutered. He knows basic commands of sit , come, paw and crate/bed. Everything he needs to transition will join him: crate, beds, blankets, toys, and a bag of his food. He has a lot of energy so he needs a person or family with a fenced yard so he can run around and play. Doozer does have a history of random aggressive outburst and would need a patient family with no small children or other dogs. When he isn’t running around, Doozer is the best lump and will pass out under a cozy blanket. In addition, he loves to snuggle and demands all the rubs and scratchies and will give endless kisses. He has supersonic hearing when it comes to food and will gladly join in on all the snack times. This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is de-wormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick preventatives. Animal Alliance does not adopt adult dogs (over 9 months old) into households with children under 9 years of age due to the risk of bites. Puppies 9 months of age or younger can be adopted into households with young children ages 4 and older. We do not adopt to families with children 3 years and younger or expectant families due to the safety risk for infants and toddlers. Prior to submitting an application, please see the Animal Alliance Adoption Process for adoption details. Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.
