About Drew
Someone abandoned Drew at a gate and left her terrified and alone, untrusting of those who approached. Animal Control had to carefully bring her in, and her fear ran deep—she avoided everyone, couldn't accept treats, and hid from the chaos of barking dogs at the shelter. Deemed “unadoptable” because of her shut-down state, Drew was scheduled for euthanasia before being taken in by rescue. Once in a safer space, her gentle side emerged. A trusted vet immediately noticed how calm she could be on leash when she started to feel safe, and described her as incredibly sweet under the right circumstances. Drew just needs time and patience to trust again. She needs a calm, steady home with adults only and no other pets. Drew doesn’t get along with other dogs or cats and is best with people who respect her boundaries. She could eventually become an affectionate, devoted companion for the right adopter willing to give her the stability she's never had. Drew’s adoption covers her spay, up-to-date vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. Adoptions are limited to Orange County, CA and nearby areas. For families with children, kids must be at least 10 unless exceptions are discussed. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
