Betty Davis is a large, short-haired tabby with a brown coat who currently lives in Midway City, CA. This young female is spayed, vaccinated, and fully house trained. She does have special needs due to FIV, so she will need a little extra care and should be the only cat or with other FIV-positive cats.

About Betty Davis

Betty Davis started life struggling. She and her seven kittens were abandoned right after she had given birth. Despite being at capacity, the rescue took them in so this little family could have a chance. Betty Davis is a large brown mackerel tabby who soaks up affection and seeks human connection. She isn't the sort of cat to quietly fade into the background—she craves company and time spent with people. She’ll claim the sunniest windowsill she can find and could lounge there happily for hours, especially if someone stops by for a pet or scratch. Betty Davis has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). That means her immune system needs some extra attention, but it isn’t the dire diagnosis many people assume. With basic care and regular checkups, she has the potential for a long, good life. However, FIV is only transmitted to other cats through deep bites—casual sharing of food, water, or even most play cannot transmit it. Because of this, Betty Davis needs to be either the only cat in her household, or join a home with another FIV-positive cat. While she’s wonderful with people and welcomes kids ten years or older, she should not be housed with other cats unless they share her diagnosis. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and uses her litter box reliably. She’s looking for a household ready to offer her the attention and love she deserves. Ready to meet your new best friend?
