About Lexi
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Lexi is a special girl looking for a patient and understanding home. As a fear dog, she needs someone who will allow her to settle in at her own pace, recognizing it might take months before she feels comfortable enough to accept pets or affection. While she isn’t a cuddler, Lexi does warm up a bit faster if you have tasty treats to offer her by hand. This sweet Yellow Labrador Retriever mix is good with big and small dogs and is doggy door trained. However, she is not yet comfortable on a leash. With her thick golden undercoat, Lexi will need regular brushing in the summer if she allows it. She absolutely needs an adult-only home filled with kindness and patience, understanding that Lexi may never become a "normal" dog, but she still deserves a loving forever family. Born July 4th, Lexi is a Cancer—Cancers are known for their gentle, sensitive nature and strong loyalty, which shines through in her cautious but hopeful spirit.
