About Thor
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Thor—the big Weimie boy with a heart just as large! Thor is a 6-year-old, neutered Weimaraner weighing in at 93 pounds and on the lookout for his forever family. Despite his impressive size, he's a true lovebug eager for affection and companionship. Thor could benefit from shedding a few pounds, but his "big boned" build means he’s best suited for households with older children. He already knows his basic commands, is housebroken, and crate trained. Thor is devoted to his people and has a gentle approach to play with dogs of all sizes—his playful side shines with his canine friends! However, he does have a prey drive, so he is not suitable for homes with cats or small critters. Out and about, Thor is learning to walk well on a gentle leader and enjoys daily strolls on the Atlanta Beltline, greeting neighbors, and savoring treats at the local Farmer's Market. He’s polite meeting new dogs during leash walks and would love joining you at parks or outdoor cafes. Born under the diligent and loyal sign of Virgo, Thor might just bring a dose of fun organization and steadfast companionship into your life. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Thor
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Weimaraners thrive in active homes where they can be involved with their family's daily activities. They do best in environments with plenty of space and a secure yard, but they are happiest when spending time indoors with people.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Weimaraners benefit from having a securely fenced yard to run and play, but they also require daily on-leash walks and exercise outside. They are high-energy dogs that need ample opportunities for physical activity.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Weimaraners can be wonderful with older children due to their size and energy. They are typically affectionate and gentle but may be too rambunctious for very small children without supervision.
