About Uma
Uma arrived around Christmas after losing her puppies and healing injuries that hint at a rough start. Even so, she’s left her heartbreaking past behind and is focused on finding comfort and love in a real home. Uma is deeply affectionate, always looking for a snuggle or a hug and wagging her tail whenever someone gives her attention. She shines on the leash and greets every car ride as a new possibility, making her an ideal partner for both quiet nights and road trips. She does best as a solo dog—years of old wounds have made her reactive around other dogs, so she’s looking for a home where she gets all the attention. Uma makes up for it with a gentle, loyal presence and a gift for making people fall for her. She’s house and crate trained, relishes sunbathing, and can often be found rolling in the dirt with a big, happy grin. Uma’s ready to settle in with a family that will give her the secure, joyful future she deserves. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
