Calm, Resilient, Silly, Lovable! Upon arrival in her foster home, Francesca quickly warmed up after a bit of initial shyness! She is relaxed, happy, and at peace to be in a loving home. Her personality continues to blossom with time, and she shows a sense of humor; she isn't super playful so far, but will cutely play with the water in her water bowl, drinking with both paws in it! (She would probably love a kitty water fountain.) She will also nap in the laundry hamper on top of a pile of clothes to be washed! She enjoys being around humans and quietly keeping them company on the floor, sofa, or bed, and will follow you around the house as you do chores. Francesca is actually quite social and loves getting pets and scratches - particularly under the chin - but isn't a big fan of being held at this point. Give her a quiet place she can tuck herself into until she is comfortable, and in no time at all she will emerge for pets! She calmly, quietly, and quickly works her way into your heart with her steadfast companionship and sweetness. Francesca wasn't cared for prior to coming to APA!, and we are correcting that for her! She recently had a damaged eye removed, some routine dental care, and is being treated for itchy spots. Despite that, she loves people quickly, and is the epitome of being both a lover and a fighter! The world has thrown a lot of challenges at this beautiful brown and white tabby but she's pushing through every day with a pep in her step and willingness to love and trust the humans around her. We imagine Francesca's ideal home to be just like her: calm and quiet, where she can enjoy the company of adults, young adults, and gentle older kids who will provide all the love she deserves after a rough start to her life.
