When he first came to us as a medical foster, he was stressed, shut down, and exhausted, with skin issues that were getting worse. With some new allergy meds, a special diet, and a calm, low-stress home, Cheaddy has really flourished and is becoming more confident every day. At first, Cheaddy seemed like he had never been in a home - he was unsure about things like a dog bed or even the television! Now, he's potty trained, enjoys his naps (and his adorable snores), and walks have quickly become one of his favorite activities. True to his pit bull nature, Cheaddy is loyal, affectionate, and loves cuddling close to his people. While he definitely prefers it when his people are home, he's doing well free roaming at home and is learning new manners every day.
