About Achillies
Achillies is always up for a game of hide-and-seek—he'll be the one tucked away, waiting as the champion hider. Chasing toys, krinkle balls, and batting bottle caps are a few favorite ways to pass the time, though don't expect him to scale tall cat trees. After a rough start as a kitten and weeks in casts, Achillies lost a leg and his tail, but his spirit remains unbroken. He's a little chubby these days, navigates stairs and low shelves, but mostly keeps his adventures close to the ground. Achillies is wary of people at first, needing plenty of patience and time before he'll let his guard down. He scares easily and will do best in a quiet home without dogs or young children; teens are fine, and he'd prefer to be the only animal. Once he feels safe, he turns into a big love bug—ready for pets, snuggles, and even belly rubs. You might find him curled up on the bed or right next to you watching TV in the evenings. If someone puts in the effort, they’ll discover a deeply sweet cat who just needs a chance to trust. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
