About Fern

They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Meet Fern, a resilient 6-year-old pointer/treeing walker coonhound mix who's been waiting for a loving home since December 2022. Vibrant and full of life, Fern is a delightful combination of sweetness, happiness, and fun, always ready to bring joy and laughter to those around her with her infectious smile and silly antics. Fern adores playtime and thrives when she can run and romp outdoors. Her strength shines during walks—she does well on leash but can be quite the puller, though she's diligently polishing her leash manners. With a passion for the outdoors, Fern would flourish in a home with a large, securely fenced yard where she can explore safely. She prefers the company of male dogs and, for everyone's comfort, needs a cat- and small animal-free home. If you already have a male dog, Fern would love a meet-and-greet to ensure a perfect match. Alongside her playful spirit, Fern is proudly house trained, crate trained, and adept at using a doggie door. She’s the type of companion who thrives on routine, fun, and plenty of affection. Born February 3rd, Fern is an Aquarius—a sign known for being playful and friendly, which fits her to a tee! While she is not a good fit with female dogs, children would find her a gentle friend. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
