AvailableAbout Ginsu
Are you looking for a kitten who embodies the nickname "Pocket Knife"? Ginsu's litter was named after As Seen on TV products, and she got Ginsu Knives. Little did we know, she would live up to her name in spirit alone. She is the smallest of her litter too, so there might've been some hopeful intuition on our part with giving her such a pointed name (yes, pun intended). Even though she's half the size of her brothers, she keeps up with her siblings just the same. Ginsu came to the rescue at just 1 week old with her siblings, and has spent most of her time here in foster homes with her sister Soba. Soba is a great big sister and tends to be the first to try new things while Ginsu watches and grumbles. Ginsu's initial reaction to new things is to flatten her ears in annoyance and make angry noises. Luckily this seems to be the way she reacts to most things and once she figures out she's not in danger, she calms down. Being smaller than normal can cause some hypervigilance, we can't blame her. Otherwise, she puts that fire into playing with Soba and the infamous Worm on a String. Once she's done being a hissy punk, Ginsu likes to use her smallness to her advantage. She crawls on human shoulders like a parrot. This has been a helpful reminder to clip her nails regularly. Her size also helps her sneak under your chin and lay on your solar plexus to nap. The closer to your face, the better. She also likes to sneak up on the adult cats in the home while they're sleeping and try to snuggle them. She has been more successful than I ever could've imagined. When they eventually wake up, sometimes they even go back to sleep after a lackluster hiss. Ginsu will likely stay smaller than the average cat, don't let her get overlooked by her normal-sized counterparts and adopt her (and her sister Soba if you're looking for two!) today!
