About Kima
Kima didnât get the luckiest start in life. She grew up outside, packed in tight with more than 20 other dogs behind chicken wire, never knowing the comfort of a home or touch of a leash. When she landed at the rescue, every bit of indoor living was newâand overwhelming. For a while, the world seemed too big and too loud, but with patience, gentle care, and steady routines, Kima started to relax. Little by little, her shy shell began to crack. Now, Kima shows her true colors. Sheâs still a delicate, small Chihuahua, weighing about eight pounds and around six years old. At first, she keeps her distance, but once she decides youâre safe, she blossomsâa bit silly, eager to stick with the group, and always wanting to be included. She attends events, soaks in affection, and even enjoys making new friends, especially if theyâre dogs or playful cats. For Kima, having another calm, friendly animal in the household means feeling secure. Her future needs to be structuredâa secure home where an accidental escape isnât possible, and an adopter who sees her for what she is: a survivor who has figured out how to trust. A little patience and a lot of consistency will help her keep growing. Kimaâs not asking for perfection, just a safe place and someone ready to welcome her into a better life.
