About Flit
Meet Flit! He arrived as a stray and, after never being reclaimed, he’s hoping for a new start. Flit is a medium-sized, short-haired black dog around 4 years old, currently in Kearneysville, WV. He does well with other dogs and has been friendly meeting people at the shelter. It’s unknown how he is with cats, but he gets along with children as long as introductions are managed. Meet-and-greets with dogs and kids are required, just to be sure the fit is right. Flit cannot be left outside unattended, even within a fenced yard—he’s an expert climber who can scale a 6-foot fence. For that reason, he’ll need to be leash-walked and supervised during all outdoor time. Flit loves being near his people and is happiest when given attention, often using his voice to express his needs. He appears to be housebroken but could use some patience with routine in a new environment. Flit is neutered, microchipped, and will be fully vaccinated before going to his new home. He was born October 17, so he’s a Libra—friendly and eager for connection. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Flit, as a medium mixed-breed dog, appreciates outdoor time, but due to his fence-climbing talent, he should always be leash-walked or closely supervised. The actual size of the yard matters less than the security and human oversight.
