About Cat
Cat has spent quite a bit of time waiting for a home since arriving in October 2022. She struggled with the noisy, busy shelter and has only recently started to relax and show her true personality. Independent and self-assured, Cat prefers to have things her way and enjoys quiet, predictable spaces with no other animals. She previously lived in a single-person home and would thrive as the only pet in a calm environment. Once she feels comfortable, Cat grows increasingly sweet—she welcomes head scritches and ear rubs and often naps in high places or beside a sunny window. She doesn’t care for being picked up and makes it clear when she’s had enough attention. Still, Cat has become more playful over time and shows signs of blossoming into a confident companion. She doesn’t always want company, but she’s affectionate when she’s ready, and will do best with someone who respects her boundaries and independence.
