About Chico Long Term

The start of a great friendship is just one click away. Hi, I'm Chico! Despite a rough start, you’ll instantly see my real personality shine as soon as I leave my kennel. While I may bark and jump when you first see me, once I'm outside away from the busy shelter noise, I show my affectionate, loyal side and truly enjoy my walks and human companionship. I came to the shelter as a stray and, sadly, my previous owner chose not to come for me, so now I’m waiting for a loving home where I can finally settle in for good. My favorite part of the day is being out with staff and soaking up attention. I appear to be well-adjusted to routine and seem to be potty trained, so you’ll have an easier time establishing habits together. Because I do best with adults or older kids, a home without small children is preferred. Please don’t let my kennel behavior fool you—I just want someone to take a chance on me in a calm environment where my loving personality can come through. You’ll make my dreams come true by giving me a chance outside my kennel. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
